FEAR: JARCOO POEMS

IT was a gray night
JARCOO POEMS
I was stirred out of my wink
By the sound of a blue laughing
On my window pane
Like a being on wings divine
In turbulence the wings flapped
Bringing now wave of heart
Then breeze of ice
Now nerve of stone
Then eyes of blue
Then suddenly:
"The shallows are here
Wagging their tails
The sparrows are here
Wagging their tongue"

I paused to think
But
      Then
              Slept

Arriving in Blissful Palace
A happy sigh dropped from the bright sky
And took me by the hand, pointing to the coast
Where kites jump, and chick chatter
Where cups talk, and tubers listen
Where legs sings, and drums dance
Then suddenly

The flying ostrich sang past the drunken king
Towards me, and I stepped out of the palace
Into my room with the gray bird
On my window pane weeping:
"The swallow are here
Baring their claws
The sparrows are here
Baring their teeth"
